UH-AWM is a student-run organization that is based in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston.

The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to encourage women and girls to study mathematics and its applications to the sciences, to support women who are currently pursuing careers in mathematics, and to build a network among the women in mathematics at the University of Houston. Also, we strive to promote a welcoming community for all graduate and undergraduate students interested in mathematics.
